For our first blog post, I thought it might be useful to cover some FAQs, more specifically, the questions we hear the most often when a customer first reaches out to us for help. Perhaps you have asked these questions yourself, or maybe seeing them here can provide some confidence that we’ve heard and answered them all before.

* _The ENTIRE SCADA System locks up for 30 seconds/1 minute/5 minutes every time we add a device to the network. What is going on?_

* _As this network has grown, we’ve had to power cycle PLCs with increasing frequency after they locked up. Is there any way to make this network more robust so we can avoid these production downtimes?_

* _Why have our OIT/HMI screens become less responsive/more laggy over time?_

* _How do we connect these two network islands that have the same IP schema and overlapping IPs in use? Is there any way to do it WITHOUT having to re-IP?_

* _Is there a way to setup on-demand remote access for our OEMs and SIs? Can we control when they can access and have full audit logs of their activity? Will our IT department allow it?_

* _Can you work with my OEM/SI/DCS Vendor on this plant expansion to make sure all the new stuff can talk to all the old stuff after the upgrade?_
